Department Profile

Prof.S.D. Singadkar (HOD)

The Department of computer science is established in the year 2010. It is a teaching department that aims at providing quality education in computer science. Department consist of well-equipped laboratories for separate computing platforms, Enabling the students to work the different environment. Enough laboratory time is available to the student for maximum utilization of the computing facilities. Our main strength is highly qualified and experience faculty members. Faculty members are always ready to guide students apart from regular teaching hours and maintaining the discipline behavior in the college.

Computer science deals with designing and building computers and software. Computer science is a rapidly growing field with a profound impact on society, and its future is likely to be even more transformative. Here are a few potential areas of impact:

  • 1. Artificial Intelligence (AI) - AI has the potential to revolutionize many industries, from healthcare to finance to transportation. As AI becomes more advanced, it may automate many tasks that are currently performed by humans, leading to significant changes in the job market. At the same time, AI could bring many benefits, such as improved medical diagnoses, more efficient transportation systems, and personalized education.

  • 2. Cyber security - As more and more of our lives take place online, cyber security is becoming increasingly important. Cyber-attacks can have devastating consequences, from stolen financial information to disrupted power grids. Computer scientists will play a critical role in developing technologies to prevent and respond to these attacks.

  • 3. Internet of Things (IoT) - The IoT refers to the network of physical devices, vehicles, home appliances, and other items embedded with electronics, software, sensors, and connectivity that allow them to connect and exchange data. The IoT has the potential to make our lives more convenient, but also raises concerns about privacy, security, and the potential for hacking.
